What is it about the first of the month?
So I’ve noticed a trend in the last few months, that I seem to be posting at the first or the end of the month a lot. Hmmm, maybe that is the only time I think of posting. Work has slowed down here in Texas, it is next to impossible to dig shovel tests in flood conditions, and we cannot get to half of the locations we need to test! So, it is a good thing that I am off on “vacation” for the next two weeks. I scheduled it awhile back, a little nervous about taking off during our high season, but it has all worked out. I have a great group of co-workers, who encourage this adventurous side of me, and who will run my projects while I am out.
Where am I going you ask? Back to Belize, to work on a new project with some good friends. Ceramic analysis of course, but some new material for me to look at, so I am excited to get my hands in the laboratory again. It is at a place called Caves Branch, and the name should say it all. The ceramics are from ongoing excavations at caves and rockshelters in the region.
Anyhow, I plan on posting pics when I get back, and will write to the blog if anything exciting happens!
